Calhoun, Irena A.

CALHOUN – Mrs. Irena Calhoun, aged 93, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 ½ years, George; daughter, Beverly Wagner; parents, Jesse and Minnie Lott; brother, Dale Lott; and George’s parents, Wellington and Lola Calhoun. Surviving are her children, William (Joyce) Calhoun, Robert (Diane) Calhoun, Bonnie (Michael) Woudstra; son-in-law, Lynn (Sharon) Wagner; 17 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2009 at the Clyde Park Church of the Nazarene, 2545 Clyde Park SW, with Rev. Bill Couchenour officiating.  The family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at Church.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Ministry or Brookcrest Resident Outings.   1. We are glad that we had the privilege of knowing your parents and visiting with them at various times. They were an inspiration and certainly Godly people.
