Johnson, Walter

JOHNSON – Mr. Walter Johnson, aged 93 of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Johnson.  Surviving are his son, John L. Johnson, daughter, Carole Vonk; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Private family services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.  Memories and condolences to Walter’s family may be shared at www.stegengafuneralchapel.com

  4. Our prayers go out to you and your family. I worked at Michigan Bell with Walt and he was my partner in the MBT golf league for many years. We had many good times together. I haven,t seen him for many years now that I have been retired for 20 years. A good man.
